Just spotted this and thought some would find it interesting

Looks like a decent onboard RAID controller does the job well and that 3 drives is the optimum set up.

Nice find

I really don't understand these results though... switching to 2*drives in RAID0 gives a better than 100% performance bump for small file transfers?
