Got me some Moon Crabs

Picked up 5 of them Saturday and put them into a 180Litre tank. I have a heater light in the tank and the water is at 27 celcius.

Cool little spuds and next i am after Vampire crabs.

kind of random things to have as an exclusive pet... although I'm always tempted to add a crab to my aquarium - they'd probably eat the fish & try and escape though so not bothering...

Nah most crabs need salt water among other things and dont breed in captivity.

The vampire crabs i am getting next will breed in captivity.

The moons are nuts and if they nip you will not let go so i need thick gloves to handle them : )

Wow in all my life I've never actually thought that people would keep crabs as pets.

They do look kinda funny. Will they grow up to be huge or do u flush them down the loo before that?

cool, i wanted one or two to go in my aquarium but being as they like to have a bit of land in there it's not practical, this of course merely means i need to buy another tank
