Hi Guys,

I require some of your expertise I got up this morning and turned on my pre built computer from OCuk and now I get no signal from the pc to any monitor I have hooked up!!!

Any idea what could have gone wrong?

just make sure youve got power supply, peripherals and vga/dvi connectors properly connected. what computer is it btw so we know?

I would check that your VGA Cards are seated correctly. I had an intermittent issue with a build once....my card use to come unseated without the chassis being moved. I found that some numpty had tightened up the holding screw too tight!!! It was pulling the font down and lifting the back up!! lol
(Please note my system was not bought from OCUK, they would do it properly :d)

just to check if u can run the 295 on another comp to make sure its not faulty.

Check the monitor cable on both side of the PC and the monitor.

Try unplug the power cord, and holding down the power button over 15 seconds to discharge and reset the PC.

Hope this helps!
Bill

I received an email from them that stated if any pins were bent then the warranty would be voided.

However when I first got the system I noticed that a piece of plastic was slightly bent in the second DVI connection but when I hooked up my second monitor all was fine so I didn't report it.

I'am trying to get through to mention it but the lines are busy :(

I think that relates more to components/ motherboards and such rough handling incorrect installation of cpu causing damage i got that email to about bent pins on a recent rma i think it's a bog standard email eveyone gets yours being a OC prebuild all you have done is plug your monitor in not like you installed components yourself

Yes I managed to get through and was told not to worry.

I also asked for the correct GPU to be installed, i.e. Gainward rather than the ASUS that I was given at first, although there is no notable difference between the two I found the Gainward seems to run 20 degrees cooler than the original Geforce :D which is nice if i ever become brave enough to attempt an overclock.

Well that kind of sucks! Id be pretty miffed if that happened to me! Guess if you built it and had experience you could try a diff gfx like peeps said. On the other hand its still under warranty, so if the card has fried, u don't cop the bill. As far as i recall, the single pcb 295 runs cooler, its just cheaper for Nvidia to produce a card with a single pcb as compared to two.
Did they tell you why they gave you an old Asus 2pcb instead of the single Gain?

FYI and anybody who was interested at the outcome of this particular case.

I received an email from OCuk telling me that the computer was fine and the rig had NO POST issues, okay no harm done.

I got the computer yesterday in the original cardboard box which is almost destroyed not a good sign... everything started up normally but one of the lower fans was dislodged... presumably during transportation. I used the computer for a while and the restarted and it worked fine, then I switched it off pushed the fan back into place and tuned the rig back on.... low and behold no POST :(

I looked at it today and undid the screws on the GPU a tad and now it works again :D . So happy days, I will have to look out for this problem though, two cables going to the GPU are pressed tightly against the removable side casing which might be causing the problem.

I'm just bumping this thread, I know it has been sometime but!!! Unfortunately the problems have reoccurred.

I sent back the GPU and today called them to find out if they were going to replace it, but due to a mark on one of the GPU DVI Port (It was there when I got the tower) they could not replace it.

So I asked for a refund so now the whole system is going to be sent back :( bad times.

:(
at least you can get a refund....perhaps spend the money on building a system yourself, its not difficult at all!! any questions just ask on here.
