Jason West at the MP event, said that he was dead on, on the matchmaking servers. We've been building a system on the backend called IW.NET.

You are completely reliant on IW.NET. There are no server lists. There are no dedicated servers.

You have private matches where you can customize the game

You cannot put MW2 on a dedicated server.

This is the first time we've ever done something like this and the team has huge plans for what IW.NET develops into.

.....yeah i won't be buying it.

......Instead I'll be putting on my newly washed anorak to pursue my hobby of trainspotting .......
 
I'm not willing to pay full price for the game.

If I can find it a lot cheaper, might consider it, I'm not overly bothered, I'll have Fm10 + Left 4 Dead II to look forward to playing.
 
No dedicated servers and mod tools... Surly this is a backwards step :/

I guess it means laggy games and being booted out when the host decides to quit... Doesnt sound like a game worth getting.

I bet the clans for CoD are well annoyed, no more clan servers with this type of thing.
 
Lack of dedicated servers is becoming a worrying trend. I had boycotted the game already due to activisions pricing practices. Can i boycott it twice?
 
Well that makes the game less worthwhile now...I was ready to take a week off work so I can play online all throughout. But no...they decided to remove all this and for what? shocking.
