hmm if this is true and 100% confirmed then im cancelling my preorder and getting the warez version

Seems to mean they are going to run an official server backend... seems common with a lot of games these days... sucks... for quakelive it does work okish but stiffles the community.

I don't think its even been confirmed theres listen server capability or LAN capabilities (aside from coop) - and serving from a game that someones playing on generally sucks even if they have a good upload...

Can't say I blame you...I might follow suit. What's the point in paying nearly £40 for the game when everything we were looking forward to about it has been taken away just to be on par with people who have consoles? Don't they know that PCs hold a much bigger superiority to consoles and have done for years? Where is the loyalty these days?

exactly, why should we stay loyal if IW couldnt give a toss about us.
 
Ive done my best to inform all the gaming communities im apart of, which includes:

Arma2 tourney
AGz COD 4 clan which im part of
NS 2 forums
Eve Online official offtopic forum
*It (aka Band of Brothers) alliance forums
*RKK forums

*Eve Online alliance and corp, which is a lot of people
 
My guess is they will just release mod tools and ded server stuff in their first patch due to low sales and feedback from community (when they know there xxxxxx the whole thing up).
 
That is TERRIBLE.

Oh well, look at OFP: DR for example of how a similiar system works/Does not work ;)

I was going to get this and skip L4D2 till after Christmas. Meh, will be getting L4D2.
 
another reason they are doing this is to force pc users to pay for those stupid dlc map packs :rolleyes:

i know a lot of people hate EA and think they are the scourge of gaming but activision are just as evil if not more so
 
This wasn't a dead cert purchase for me ... but the consolification is happening now. I just hope this does not become the norm for pc games. No dedicated servers is just awful, no sense of continuity in your gameplay. No regulars or any sense of community. Same for modding. Why take away? Surely devs should be thinking add more! add more!
 
I was gonna pick this up at some point as I love CoD but meh...won't bother now. I hardly play online these days but the fact they're doing this to the community that MADE this game just totally stinks.
Also, no dedicated servers = no server admins which means cheating will be rife, particularly with VAC and delayed bans.
