Dell ST2410

I'd also love to get some impressions of this monitor and how it stacks up compared to the G2410. Looking to buy one of them tommorow and would appreciate any info.

Dell have them on their site at £155.81inc which to be honest is a bargain. I've not seen any reviews but I'd would say it would stack up well against any modern 24" TN panel and you get Dells excellent 3 year on site warranty. Plus it has HDMI and HDCP which you just don't get at this price point normally.

As for it vs a OcUK Value 24" DGM, it depends really. If the DGM is a TN version, then no contest I'd go with the Dell. DGM build quality and their repair warranty is poor, which I've experienced first hand. Do you already own the DGM monitor?

Yes I already own the DGM OcUK Value 24", had no problems with it really apart from the colours look a bit out sometimes and a few stuck pixels.

Well lets hope you don't have to experience their repair warranty!

Do you have a TN or PVA panel? You can check here after getting the panel model number up (Press the the 'Menu' and '+' buttons at the same time and a red & white box will appear with panel code.) and check it here:

AU-M240UW01-V0 is the code I get.

I take it that A-MVA = PVA panel, right?

MVA = Multi Domain Vertical Alignment (produced mainly by AUO and CMO in one version of another. AU Optronics released Premium MVA (P-MVA) and then also Advanced MVA (AMVA) more recently, and CMO have their own Super-MVA (S-MVA) as well

PVA = Patterned Vertical Alignment (Samsung's own version) which then became Super PVA (S-PVA) and more recently cPVA as well (unsure what the 'c' stands for)

in answer to your question though, the M240UW01 V0 is one of AU Optronics' P-MVA generation of panels.

Bought an ST2410 in the end about 2 weeks ago for £200 off the D*ll website, gutted that the price has plummeted by nearly £50 now!

Am allowed to finally open the box tomorrow morning, will report back with my findings :)

Please do post what you think of it; just been scouting around looking for a cheap full HD monitor and although there are cheaper alternatives, Dell are generally superior so I want to know if this is worth the extra £20-£50 :D

Report already! Desperate for a new monitor tbh and this is looking like a winner! :D

I was looking at the 22 inch version of this and noticed the 24 is the same price! It's a steal, I'm probably going to order it tomorrow.

Wondering if the res will look better on the 22incher and prevent me from having to up Anti Aliasing on games as a result?

Tell us all the details, and pics!

The monitor is very good, colours are vibrant and blacks are reasonably deep. It's certainly worth £150. One complaint is the stand is very low, and also I have one dead black pixel right in the centre, which has developed within 3 days of use. :(

That's such a shame :( I think I'm going to order mine today as well, but I'm used to a low stand as my current screen is the same.

Would you be able to post a couple of pics?
