I've never understood peoples desire to keep this place "perfect", I mean it is essentialy a testament to one of the greatest evil acts in man kinds history.

I would have leveled the place by now, no one is going to forget it ever happened,

I would have leveled the place by now, no one is exactly going to forget it ever happened,

As a reminder of history so we never forget and hopefully never find ourself doing it again.

All destroying it does it shows no one cars and they just want to forget about it. You'll be surprised what people forget. Did you remember all the large historical events from even a 100 years ago, let alone 200-500 years.

Saves rebuilding a facility the next time someone needs it ;) I also don't see why they don't just level it and build a monument or gardens for people to visit.

plus, what are you going to do with it? how many people would like it paved over into a theme park? or a hospital? it'll always be Auschwitz, and will always have that association to it

I would much rather they destroy it and build a memorial, something to honor the dead, rather than the atrocities inflicted on them.

edit: That reads strangely, I don't mean "honor" the atrocities.

I've not been there and don't have much knowledge on this but isn't there some rumour/story that birds fly around it as opposed to over it and that wildlife doesn't visit/grow there?
Anyone?

Go to the nearest ***** gypo camp...it will be there the thieving scum

It's called RECYCLING !!!

:p:p:p

Jokes apart it's pretty poor show although I do think the camp should have been demolished long ago & there just be monuments & museums, I'm not Jewish though & have Absolutely No idea what this means to them.
Therefore,
My Respects go to them. :)
