As the Skeleton case is growing a small but loyal band of followers I thought I'd start an Antec Skeleton thread, so that all Skeleton owners or those wanting more info on this case and what it's like to build/Mod/use can post.

So to kick things off here's a few pics of mine.

As it first looked.....

And after I'd finished with it....

This was my first ever build and first ever Mod so it shows what and easy case this is to work with. It's also very easy to take apart (just need a screw driver and not a single rivet to drill out) and once apart of course it's real easy to paint up however you want to

I have an Antec Skeleton :-)

Ive only had it a month or so, but im loving it. No mods as of yet but I want to get my creative thinking cap on!

Ill be taking it to a LAN next month. It should be fine. I have no worries!

I think the robot you're thinking of is Panic Attack from Robot wars and I think I'd be slightly wary of taking it to a LAN.

Anyway, from my post in the cases galletry.....

Every case I've owned gets dusty, however the good thing about this one is that the large top fan minimises dust and its very easy to give it a quick do with some compressed air for any dead spots. The other cases I've had involved taking off the side panel before it was possible to get rid of the dust that'd accumulated inside too.

Ah the old dust question

I've had a Skeleton for well over a year now, and I can honestly say dust is so little a problem in this case that it ought to be one of the selling points.

I was a bit worried about it before I bought it, but it's really not an issue. The top fan even stops dust deposits on your CPU cooler and other natural dust magnets in a normal case etc

About once a year I slide out the lower section and give it a blast with the air duster and slide it back in, but even then i'm looking for dust to have a go at when really there's not mush to see.

LAN party wise this case is easy to move about as the "arch" sections are designed to be weight baring and serve as handles. It's also not that easy to get kit out of without sliding out the lower section, which you're gonna notice someone do if they're trying to make off with your GPU.

Just thought,, instead of it all being open, how about glass or perspex to fill in the holes?? It would make it safer without loosing its wow factor??

Antec actually produce what they call a mesh kit, which keeps out all prying fingers while at the same time maintining the cooling provided by the open design.

Of course if you want to add in perspex etc then that's just one of the many ways of modding this case!
