Windows 7 - darker at night?

My monitor has been working fine then i restarted a couple of minutes ago and its a lot darker, like the backlight hasnt turned on properly. It did this yesterday too later at night

Monitor is a Dell 2209WA. I have never had any problems with it before

It's to do with the level of ambient light.

Go to the door, there should be a little switch by it. Try that and compare.

Windows 7 is in its night time mode getting ready for a sleep. Make sure that you clean your teeth before going to bed.

Ambient light senor built into your monitor. Go to the control panel and you can adjust all the settings there, I have a lesser version of said monitor.

It's a Dell monitor, probably a bug, expect it to be fixed in Rev A04 if you're on A01 or they may scrap the 2209 entirely and release a 2210 ¬_¬
