New BETA catalysts (again)

Just noticed these on the interwebs!

Newest 2d and 3d drivers by a country mile to every previous catalyst driver and they appear to be the first build of the catalyst 10.5 drivers (yes, 10.5, not 10.4)

Download is 380mb as its all version in a .rar file

Early reports say they solve the xfire flicker in BFBC2

To compare driver version with the opengl 4.0 (29th march beta)

Opengl is NEWER on the 4.0 drivers - 6.14.10.9392 (new) vs 6.14.10.9826

but

2D and 3D are newer on these by a large gap (15 builds or so lol)

8.14.10.0735 (ogl 4) vs 8.14.10.0750 (new) for 3D
8.01.01.1010 (ogl 4) vs 8.01.01.1024 (new) for 2D

As far as I'm aware the flicker has been fixed in 10.3b, also why is it a whopping 380mb?? Hmmmmm

Because its all the windows versions combined instead of multiple links. The flicker issue was only corrected for single card users in 10.3b and even then, didn't work 100% of the time. We'll have to give these a good testing to see if they are better or worse.

Just had a go on BFBC2 and they work really well with good image IQ

I still get flickering in bc 2 with the 10.3b's also with dual screen and an slight oc applied. Hope these fix that

I hereby declare these drivers... the 'ATi Fermi release' as they run hot as **** :mad:

I'm showing around 45-50 idle temps.. my 10.3a's were around 36-39 :confused:

Card clocks in windows appear to be incorrect aswell? Very odd.

Sorry taken what cards do you have as my 5970 idles at 50c anyway after gaming.

Any improvement in BFBC2 flicker in crossfire?.

I've got to do a quick bit of farm work now, I'll test BC2 in a few mins.

Performance is a bit better in Vantage, but clocks appear wrong in windows.

For anyone who's interested, I've mirrored them on rapidshare, I also cut out a lot of unnecessary files, these are 64 bits.

I'll do 32 bit ones as well if anyone's interested.

I've just installed them my self and they went on fine, I haven't tested any games yet though.
