I've noticed there are a fair few "pick me a game threads" i thought we could answer 99.9% of them with a single thread.
Everytime you play a new game that you think is worth a purchase
post it here & we will eventually have a list of great games to purchase, when your looking for a new game to play.

Defense Grid should definitely be there somewhere, guess it could come under Indie game but really it's a tower defense game/possibly strategy?

Indie should have Trine and Audiosurf.

FPS should have Bioshock and the STALKERs.

There needs to be a strategy section.

galciv2 is more turn based than rts.But worth a pickup with the expansions

i think Nexus Jupiter incident is a RTS ?

Also once the list is quite comprehensive it might be worthwhile to break it further down category-wise. What i mean is : FPS is a game type but you can get FPS adventure, FPS RPG, FPS horror adventure, Fantasy FPS, Sci-FI FPS etc

or would doing all that be too anal?

Reason i ask sometimes people will be really specific about what kind of game they want.
