These are incredible gaming machines and the built in speakers on the GX660 is something else for a laptop.

The specs of the GX660 are nice but my god it looks ugly.

Really interested in the GX740. What Drive does it come with? DVD or Blue ray?

Am tempted to treat myself to the GX660...am wondering if that comes with a blu ray drive. Hope so otherwise it kind of defeats the purpose of having a full HD display

Bahh thanks Kersey , you made me re-read the specs of the GX660 and now I can't decide between that or the GX740. I guess what drive they come with may decide it.
I have a 17" laptop for gaming now that needs replacing, Would I notice the size reduction down to a 15"?

According to the descriptions on the site the 660 comes with a DVD RW, coulnt see drive info for the 740, but since there have been a few people who already bought one maybe they can confirm what it came with.

GX740 and GX660 are both DVD-RW.

GT640 is Blu-Ray.

i wanna get the GX660 since its AWESOME. trust me guys for only 700 more the gx660r is avaible elsewhere and the ONLY difference which most care for is the i7 720qm cpu in the gx660r but you can upgrade the cpu obviously this voids the warrenty but meh.

whens the GX660 actually out?

Job done, just ordered the GX660...don't really mind about the lack of blu ray drive, I'll pick one up in time and replace.

Is the GX660 really have a Resolution of 1920x1080. Its just I google'd and other websites saying its 1368x768?

The GX660 does have a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080.

It has a better resolution over the GT640 even though the screen is smaller.

The ATI is supposed to be better than the Nvidia 250m as it supports Direct X 11 and Shader 5. It is rated as a class 1 card where as the Nvidia card is rated as a class 2 only supporting Direct X 10 and shader 4.0.
