Well not the follow up I wanted to do for this thread

but some time today in broad daylight 4-5pm a few scumbags broke open my kitchen window stole my car keys from my house and stole my car (along with gf's laptop the tv and a few other bits not my pc thankfully)

I'm pretty sure by the lack of stuff taken they were purley after the car and the rest of the stuff was oppertunist so it just goes to show car theives don't just target top end stuff secure your house and dont ever think it won't happen to you i know i did

not good, though why would they go to the trouble to nick that?

could be stolen to order, maybe someones needing parts for one?

couple of grand for replacement panels/parts after an accident or a quick £500 to the local dodgy geezer down the pub?

Sorry to hear this fella, hope you get it back (or insurance covers you).
Probably prefer just to have the money, rather than knowing some scum has sat in your car :(

Sorry but i seriously doubt someone is gonna nick a newer car like that just for a few hundred quid.

There has to be easier ways to steal cars than breaking into a house in broad daylight.....

By the sounds of things this break in was pretty easy!

Come to think of it, it's at a time when you least expect it, during the day I swan about, music blaring, tv on, not really paying attention (I work nights mainly) anybody could have gained entry and I wouldn't know about it.
But in the evening, I'm generally quieter, tv is down a few decibels as I don't want to upset the neighbours and there might be ghosts and peados 'n' that knocking about.

Rubbish :(

Let us know of any updates!

Well police took some prints from the scene thankfully it seems they didn't take much apart from my tv and gf's laptop as well as a digicam and the sat nav in the car

The only way to steal newer cars is with the key, so that means either removing the keys from the owner or from the house no other way to do it really, unless you want to get into the super hi tech way of catching the keys emitting the unlocking frequency etc but which way do you think is going to be easier for the average scumbag

Going rate round these parts is any car you want for £500 with the keys no questions asked lots of desperate people who only care where their next hit is coming from. Know a few people that have their houses done and one that was dragged out their car in broad daylight on a busy street

Is this just a glasgow thing or are we talking UK wide?
