Hi guys,
Just had a call off Natwest telling me a payment of £42.50 to Microsoft in Luxembourg has been blocked. I check the account linked to my Live and there are 2 emails, 1 saying thanks for payment or similar and then 1 saying that it got blocked moments later.

Now i log onto my Xbox account and for some reason there is 5200 points! despite me having an email/bank saying it was blocked!

I have contacted Xbox and they said they are passing onto their Fraud Investigation team.

Just wondering has this happened to anyone and did Xbox sort it or?

I have no use for the points so will be pretty annoyed if i don't get a refund.

Seems so, it seems strange that since the PSN hack there has been loads of 360 accounts hacked and not heard of any PSN ones, do people use the same details for both?
Also MS are pretty good at tracking that its a hacked transaction and giving the money back.

Ok,
Not heard back from Xbox. I have had my card stopped and a new one sent out so i shouldn't have any more problems.

I just hope Xbox can see either via IP address or something that i have not purchased any points.

Have you put your Windows Live details into any other places? Also sometimes if you use MSN you'll get a retard on your friends list who's had their account hacked, maybe your information can be stolen in a similar way also?

Still sucks though, I hope you get a refund. :(

I have used the email to sign up to other forums etc but i cant remember using the same password and the websites i have signed up for have been reputable ones not random.

I hope so as well.

I imagine they can just track from where the purchase was made? and then prove it that way.

You really ought to use something like KeePass or commercial alternatives. Something with a mobile and desktop version with sync support is best.

EDIT: The main reason for using these is the built in strong password generators and means of storing them in categorised searchable database along with other details used to register at the sites, etc.
