building my first intel i7 pc, always had amd, and getting this msg pop up,

im using the same usb created win764bit install i used earlier today, and dont have a dvd drive installed yet ?

its a shuttle sh67h7 and i cant see any drivers i need, am i missing a trick in the bios being an AMD boy?

Are you trying the usb stick on the usb3 port, i had the same problem recently cant remember what i did, ended up connecting a dvd and installing via disk in the end i think

That's because the S-ata controller isn't been picked up automatically. You require the controller drivers. They should be able to be obtained from the motherboard website. What board is it?

being a shuttle this is the drivers page for my model, i cant see what i would need

oh ok, its usb3 at the front, not sure on the rear?

i just tried a usb dvd drive and got the same, but think i have a sata somewhere

fixed!

fixed! dont use the front usb 3 ports! use the usb2 ones around the back!

thanks bradmax!

Np was trying to think what the problem was, i didnt figure that it was the usb3.0 ports at the time and ended up connecting the dvd and installed via disk will remember next time ;)

If anyone else hits this problem and its not usb 3.0 orientated I had the same problem and it turned out to be the marvell sata3 controller, disabled it in bios, installed windows 7 then re-enabled it.
