I have around £250 and Up to last week I was sure to place an order for the intel 510 120gb Elmcrest as I am fed up with my vertex2...
am I missing something...Please advise before I take the plunge:D

OCZ and Corsair have more complaints about rubbish firmwares causing BSOD than another, they have newer updates to correct this but why bother?

You barely hear a word about Crucial.

The Intel 128Gb Elmcrest is just massive money for the capacity.

You say your fed up with the vertex2... why?

too many instability & unexplained random BSOD, countless random errors in windows etc. (I have 2 with the latest firmware: while one was on RMA I bought a second one... So far I have lost count of windows re-installs ans secure erase) I initially suspected my motherboard in sig. but when I install windows on my 1 terabyte sammy there are no issues at all...:(

Intel's are well known for being the most reliable, but as Stulid has said the price/GB is much more than the Crucial and Crucial haven't seemed to have many complaints!

Personal experience with my Corsair is no issues what so ever :) Then again I'm only about 2 weeks into mine after I had to RMA my Performance 3 because it just died.... So yeah xD

Just make sure to flash an M4 with the newer 002 firmware before using it, the first 001 had some pausing issues.
