question of fitting in a CM690 II advanced

Hi first time poster here so be gentle!

I'm looking at a CM690 II advanced, an asus sabretooth p67 board and using a corsair H100 and curious if the radiator and fan will clear this armoured motherboard using the top fan mounts.
I was under the impression that (after seeing one actually fitted) it was a tight fit and some boards/cpu locations might scupper fitting one.

Otherwise would a H80 do a good job at keeping the i5-2500K cool enough when it's overclocked to 4k or so?
Thanks in advance for any tips, guidance or outright help :)

I had an H70 in my CM690 and that kept my AMD 1090T very cool.
I do not think the H100 will fit as it is the dual rad one, but in that case any of the single rad ones will fit and do the job well.

I have the cm 690 ii advanced case too and before I bought it I was also wondering wether or not the H100 would fit in there...

I think it might but if you wanted push pull you would have to have one set of fans on the inside and then 2 on the top.

The cool thingabout this case is that you can remove the roof of the case and fit 2 fans under the mesh but still on the outside of the case then you just pop the roof back on and no ones any wiser ;)

I saw this done elsewhere a while ago when I was searching around but I pretty much know for a fact that if your mobo has a raised heatsink near the top then there's no chance as you wouldn't be able to get a fan mounted to the rad on the inside and tbh most modern mobos have some form of raised heatsinks but anyways to save me the headaches of using the H100 in this case I opted for a Noctua nh-d14 and its bene the best thing I've ever bought lol so glad I chose this over the H100

If your really wanting the H100 unless you can find some solid info on this I reckon you'd be better off changing case or change the choice of heatsink......maybe the H80 if you'r set on an H series?

Thanks for the responses everyone. I've decided to go for the H80.
It's a shame that there isn't more info on how easy it can be to fit certain things together as it would really help with making a decision!

Yes it will fit. It is a standard 240mm rad size. I was not sure to start with so did some research for you.
The rad will fit inside the case with the fans underneath the top cover, pulling air out of the case . Here is the specs of the H100.

And here is a link of my CM690 with the same size rad in the roof of the case, also showing how i mounted the fans.

Hope this helps.
