MacRumors.com said:Confirming earlier reports, Apple today issued media invitations for a special iPhone event to be held next Tuesday, October 4th at the company's Town Hall auditorium at its headquarters in Cupertino, California. The event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM Pacific Time.
As noted by The Loop, invitations for the event carry the tagline "Let's talk iPhone" and depict iOS icons for Calendar, Clock, Maps, and Phone.
What is rumoured?
- New iPhone Hardware - It looks likely that we will finally get a glimpse of what is to come in the iPhone family in terms of hardware. The latest generation is rumoured to make an appearance.
- New iOS Software - iOS 5.0 Final is coming closer, and there is no doubt it will be on show along with the hardware.
- New iPod Hardware - It is rumoured that a minor update to the iPod is likely to be shown off.
- Official Facebook iPad App - Finally, the official Facebook app is rumoured to appear and to be released after the press conference.
Where can I watch the press conference?
Unless you are a member of the press and have been invited, sadly it's out of bounds. Apple doesn't cover the keynote live, and others are prohibited to do so!
HOWEVER - not all is lost, mac-related websites/blogs around the world are here to give you the latest breaking news via RSS-News Feeds and other "Live Update" blogs.
I will keep an up-to-date list of the sites which will give you "Live Updates" of the event below...
