I recently purchased the above but so far the speeds are faster than a mechanical sure but im getting some slow speeds for an SSD mostly comparing to Andrew Moore's Thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18316485&highlight=ssd.

Firstly I know im running it on the marvell controller not an intel as im on a p55 board (Asus P7P55D-E Deluxe) but the speeds im getting seem to be to slow.

I will post the results when I get home but last night i was getting 350 Max read and a bit less Write in the ATTO tests and in the Crystal Disk Mark i was topping out at 188MB/s Read Writes and also the other results were about half if not lower than what is shown the the testing line up.

I did the whole run in ACHI etc only install with SSD enabled trim as i wasnt convinced it was on and done a few other things that were recommended when using an SSD boot drive things like remove page file disable defrag etc.

This could either be purely down to the Marvell controller or something i have done wrong. I have also left it on login screen overnight and results were the same so i dont think its a trim issue.

Any help would be great but tbh i am not happy with this SSD in its current state and hopefully something can be done to speed it up.

Another issue i found is occasional system freezes be that in windows or more annoyingly in games the system will lockup/freeze for about 1 second then come back when in games everything stops including sounds, never had this until the ssd was installed.

use intel controler if possible these drives dont work well with marvel also get lastest firmware if u havent already u could also try pmagic to format drive to origanal state

im going to try the drive on sata2 to see if this makes a difference ive installed the latest drivers for marvell.

One thing i have noticed is Win7 shows the drive as SCSI and removable and every result i find to solve this is install drivers and this has done nothing.

ran it on the Intel sata2 that i have and it ran with similar speeds better in some but a few MB/s and worse in others not happy as i did pay for a drive that would perform at least close to that in the line up but this isnt even half way might have to have a word with OCUK to see what they can do for me on this, unless ofc i missed a big step in setting this drive up for use.
