How the McLaren racing team used Formula One technology to design and construct the MP4-12C road car, whose design features include a carbon-fibre safety cell and the first engine the company has ever built. The programme also reveals how the vehicle's sound was perfected in a recording studio, just like a pop song. Featuring contributions by Ron Dennis, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

Hoping it'll feature the engine assembly a little, as they filmed quite a bit when they were down here. The text is a bit vague, as McLaren don't build the engine!

Love Mclaren, must get a tour they are only a stone throw away aswell! Love the sign changing colour outside the factory when they win.

If anybody wants to read a bit more technical detail on the engine side of things, there's a good few decent articles in Ricardo's quarterly magazine (pages 10 to 17).

as I'm sure they'll be pretty vague on the real technical stuff on the show.
