How great was that, such an interesting documentary. Car seems cheap at £168k I think they said?

McLaren designed engine my arse!

We also aren't an engine manufacturer, but that's a different matter.

Some quite interesting things on there, though it would have been better for them to film when in the new facility rather than MTC. Odd choice to just feature on the piston when they could have gone for the engine itself.

Guess I'm just picky as I worked on the engine project for 2 years

I did lol at some of the digs at Ferrari though when they were mentioning F1 tech and road tech.

I thought it was a bit sad that they rejected the castors for the trolleys just because the tyres weren't the right shade. You can take things too far.

I enjoyed the programme, the attention to detail from the workers is amazing. I'd have an F1 over the MP4-12C any day.

Watched it last night, fantastic, I love the attention to detail and how clean everything is!

And seeing how much care goes into building the mp4-12c makes me want one oh so much.

Good watch.

A few questions:

Where does McLaren get all this money from? £800 million can't be what they've pulled in from F1 (Surely the F1 team operates at a loss?).

How does the MP4-12C build compare to it's closest rival the Ferrari 458?

Is there similar attention to detail and work environment?

done in a dingy shed with some bad music on in the background and paint/oil spills all over the place would be more the Ferrari way I imagine lol
