Bought a overclocked system from ocuk couple months back but now the BIOS has reverted to default settings and the ocuk profile has gone:(

heres what i was getting before the the reset

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Ive tried using it without the oc but i can feel a big diffrence when playing bf3 and need this overclock back.

I want to OC it myself to the exact same settings as before can anyone help me or point me in the right direction?

thanks chris.

Go into the BIOS and look for the saved OcUK profile for the overclock and reload it.

He said the profile has gone. Just look at my above post m8, dead easy to overclock.

Not sure if the oc would effect BF3 though, I am sure BF3 uses the GPU more then the CPU.

Go into the bios, you will see a section that says Turbo Ratio (1-core) or something, change those 4 numbers to whatever the OC was before. Check the voltage and watch the temps. Same board as me and very easy to overclock.

I have mine at 4.6ghz under air on that board by just changing the turbo.

ok so if i want a 4.40 ghz overclock i change Turbo Ratio to 44 44 44 44 is that correct?

Nah you can overclock either by using the multipler or the turbo. You will see the voltage the chip is running at on the bios when you first goto the M.I.T option. They will be at the bottom, just make sure it is not over 1.3. Once booted and stable you can then lower the voltage until it becomes unstable, then up it a tiny bit so it is stable again. But for a 4.4 or 4.6 anything over 1.3 is overkill I believe. I think mine ended up just below 1.3 after I started to decrease it. I think some are even set at 1.34

Nah not for the chip it is not to high at all. It is a safe voltage, all chips are different some need more voltage then others. But I reckon you could get it down a tiny bit, if not then don't worry 1.34 is fine. When I said over 1.3 I meant don't go into 1.4's etc. It may even be 1.34 on the auto setting, which again is fine.

ok im going for it :) wish me luck lol just to clarify i only need to change Turbo Ratio to 44 44 44 44 and thats it? no other changes to anything else?

ill let you know how it goes

Yeap just change the turbo to 44 44 44 44, leave the voltage on auto and see what it says. It will probs be 1.34 which is fine. Check the voltage in the bios before booting. 1.34 and below are good numbers imo. Should not need to go higher with a 4.4ghz overclock at all.

Good luck

Hi Guys, I've get the same board, can you tell me what bio's version you are running? also tried setting turbo settings to 44-44-44-44 but it wont let me set the last core, it stops on auto and resets the others to auto, are you having this problem? thanks.

Bit of a fault this actually. On the same page with the turbos it will change the CPU ratio. Put this back to 33x and then you will be able to change the turbo and save it at 44. It likes to change that ratio on its own for some stupid reason. After this it won't default to auto.

Cheer I'll give that a try. This board seems to have some of the features missing in the bio's that the other Gigabyte boards have, like being able to adjust vcore volts, what I have read you have to use Dynamic Vcore(DVID) to add volts, also there is no Load line muti steps.

Hey,

yes you do have to mess with the dynamic vcore to raise/lower voltages. But you can see the differences in volts once selected so it is not to bad. I would prefer to just set it as normal like 1.34 instead of that +/- percent rubbish. No idea why they do it that stupid way.

Voorhees1979, may I ask what setting you are using in your bio's as I see you have got yours running @4.6. Trying to get mine running at 4.5 but will not boot. Did you adjust your Dynamic Vcore(DVID)? thanks
