Z68AP-D3 2500k overclock?

The reading will be exactly the same as touch bios just reads what the bios says. I am no expert overclocker but I feel in the bios the PC is under no stress at all. So I like it to be in windows with a little bit of stress to tell me the voltage.

Definitely get 2 different reading and the Bio's reading before booting into widows is higher than that in windows;

Before boot-up with no stress 1.284v
Reading in windows no stress 0.84v
Reading in windows under stress (prim95) 1.25v

ARe you stressing the CPU? If you're increasing the turbo it will only be that speed at load (haven't read the whole thread so don't know how much you know sorry)

yer stressed it under prime95 still x33:mad:

edit :restarted pc back to normall now btw what is the quick boost under touch bios for?

Hi cjenks22, Strange that your system is running at x33 under prime95 when you have got your turbo ratios set to 44, just make sure Turbo Boost Tech is set to enabled or auto. As for the Smart Quickboost it's just a type of overclocking tool that alters your bios automatically to run at higher speeds, 3.7 - 3.9 or 4.2ghz, your system will still want to reboot for the settings to take effect. I've tried it but my system would not boot even at the lower 3.7Ghz boost, which is strange as my 4.3 overclock seems to be running stable.

Did they work ?
Going to setup mine this weekend same M/B etc ;)

@cjenks22 tried your settings at 44, system would not boot in to windows just kept on looping, soon as I put my 43 setting back in it booted first time.
Does anyone know why it wouldn't even attempt to boot in to windows? It's strange that it boots with an overclock of 43 with a -0.060 dynamic vcore setting but will not boot even when I take the dynamic vcore setting to +0.100

did you reset your bios to default before you tried my settings? there may be a setting wrong somewhere?

what speed are you getting 4.4ghz ? with this setup

What Rev board do you have, just i looked at your screenies and it shows yu using F2 Bios. Now:

Rev1.0 Board latest Bios is: F6
Rev2.0 Board Latest Bios Is; FB

And, on the Gigabyte website, F2 Isn't ven available anymore. I'd suggest updating your Bios maybe.

Improve Recovery software compatibility
Intel 22nm CPU support update
Improve OCZ PCIe SSD compatibility
Support GIGABYTE TouchBIOS
Support Intel 22nm CPU
Support GIGABYTE TouchBIOS
Support Intel Smart Response
(Note: Please install the latest IRST version: 10.5.0.1027 or above)

There the main changes in the Rev1.0 board from F3 TO F6.

Just a thought ;)

Edit: I have th rev1.0 of this board, might try the setting posted above. (Should i touch the advanced memory settings, i have 2x4GB Corsair XMS3 1600Mhz)
