Thought I'd give this Intel Rapid Storage Technology a try.

Since I built this system I've been running the OS on an OCZ Agility 3 60GB SSD with a few programs and a couple of games, then all other programs and games on a Samsung Spinpoint 1TB with another Samsung Spinpoint 1TB for Data storage and backups.

Now I've installed Windows and all programs and games to one 1TB drive and set the SSD as the cache. Then kept the other 1TB for Data and backups.

Start up is a little bit slower but not by much, but actually running programs seems to be just as fast as it was before :D.

Ran Atto with OS on SSD

Atto on 1TB Drive

Atto on 1TB with RST Acceleration enabled

Overall I'm pretty impressed so far :D

Did you consider setting up the cache on the SSD and then using the other 40GB of the SSD for your OS? That way you can accelerate your mechanical drive giving you fast game/media files and have a lightning fast OS. You may even have some room for an application or two on the OS volume.
