SATA 3 not enabled on Samsung 700G7A

Hi guys, just dropped a Crucial M4 128GB in my Samsung 700G7A laptop.

Benchmarks are a bit slow (255 MB/s seq read, 183 MB/s write) and lafter looking around, Intel RST is reporting the drives running at SATA 3 Gb/s speed. I was expecting SATA 6 Gb/s on this machine as the chipset (HM65) supports it? Any ideas?

Just because the chipset supports SATA 6Gbps that doesn't mean it's been implemented on your particular laptop.

yep... I'm coming to that conclusion. The specs do mention the HDD's are setup as SATA 2, I guess I just expected it to support it once a SATA 3 device was connected. Oh well, still fast as muck
