Trouble with My psu sata cables

Hi guys, apologies if this is in the wrong section, I'm
Not quite sure where to post it.

So I'm currently in the middle of my first build and I'm trying to fit my psu data cables into my sdd hdd and optical drive, however, they just aren't fitting in, I don't want to ram them in as the add cost me a bomb they initially go in a couple of mill but just won't budge after this.

I'm using the coolermaster 600w silent modular psu. I'm not really sure what to do, are these cables faulty or just rubbish?, should I try force them in a bit more? Is this a usual find?

I'm pretty stuck at the moment and at a bit of a brick wall.

they the right way up? there's usually a small notch which you have to match to the drives.

Do you mean the L shape? Yeah that's all correct. I've tried the cable on my old non modular and it fits fine :-/

Just match up the L shape but be gentle when you push as you dont want to break your hard drive.
