I finally got round to taking some proper pics of my car today. Naturally there was a miniature monsoon as soon as I parked up, fortunately it passed quickly but you'll have to excuse the rain.

TTs are not the most loved around here but the quattro Sport is a little different to the other models. It was developed by quattro GMbH and they put a lot of attention to detail to set it apart from the 225 and V6. Most obvious differences include the black roof, V6 bodykit and unique wheels (18x8" front and 18x8.5" rear). Less obvious are the black wing mirros, gloss black grill, red calipers, black tail pipes and little rear wheel arch extensions.

Internally it gets fixed back Recaro pole position seats which are one of my favourite bits about the car. It loses the rear seats and parcel shelf and gains a strut brace in their place. The steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake are finished in alcantara which makes it feel a bit more special. Further weight savings include losing the spare wheel, ballast from the rear bumper and moving the battery to the boot to compensate. Overall it's between 50-75kg lighter.

Suspension wise it sits a little lower and has different anti-roll bars. Combined with the weight saving it feels a lot more supple and doesn't crash over bumps like the 225 did I had before. The regular 1.8T enginge has been remapped to produce 237bhp which isn't a massive increase but the power delivery is much changed and it has a lot more urgency about it lower down the range, it picks up a lot more quickly and pulls more strongly.

Even if TTs aren't youre thing then I hope at least you ejoy the photos :p

This is the one from Volkswizard right?

If so I can vouch it's a nice tidy example as I sat in it but chose not to test drive it, so it should at least not blow up now :)

Car looks great, amazing to think this design must be close to 15 years old

Lovely car, the TT is still one of my fave cars that I've owned. When the time comes to get rid of the Mini I'll almost certainly get another TT.

Yep, thanks for not blowing it up. Be nice if it had your rs4 engine it in though!
