Morning people,

I wanted to get a feel for a price for a few paintings (I can churn them out pretty quick) - a couple of friends have suggested I sell a few (as I'm running out of space to store them).

I don't really need the cash, so I thinking of doing it as a fundraiser for the British Red Cross.

Firstly, would you buy this kind of painting? & if so - for how much? (not trying to get people to buy them off here, just to see what people deem the value of them/they are worthy of purchase assuming more care was taken).

One ones I'd do for charity I'd obviously take more time than the 30mins on average I spent on the above (so think same style as the above, but less scrappy/more accurate).

How much they fetch would likely relate to the size and for which charity they are in aid of (would make sense for to be an animal charity). Could see around the £30 mark being a reasonable amount.

Well, they are about 24inches by 35 inches (ish), so bigger than they look - I considered an animal charity, but the BRC have an excellent donation to aid funds used ratio (compared to most other charities).

No offence, but I wouldn't pay anything for those.
None taken.

(you utter *******) :p j/k lol..., but as stated, I'd spend a bit longer on ones to sell for charity - the ones linked are speed paintings while bored.

Art is so subjective the only way to find out really is to test the market.
Indeedy - but I'm not too fussed about the commercial aspect - just if they would actually sell or not (as time may be better spent raising cash another way).

firstly, how and where are you planning on selling these?

if its for charity maybe an auction, or raffle or something (tickets being sold at the local charity shop). if you are selling via a shop, then you will need to factor in if they want a % of the sale.
I would guestimate around £25-£35, but if you are known locally as an artist, then maybe a bit more.

My work has a number of arts/crafts things going on every so often (very big office so plenty of people), some of which are for charity - I guess I'll speak to one of the women who does the charity one & pass her a few to test the water..

Cheers for the ideas/feedback.

To my untrained eye they are pretty good, nice, clean with good lines and I like the Wolf's eye, it gives a great contrast to the b&w. They would complement any minimalist environment so I would say they are certainly marketable.

I'd like to see what else you've done, and what you are capable of given a bit more time and effort.....you appear to have a talent.

I think the £30 people have mentioned for a canvas painting is a bit cheap tbh, I would pay quite a bit more for an original artists canvas and I'm sure others would as well.....

if its like a arts/craft faire type thing, then people expect to pay over the odds for something, so you might be able to up it a little bit too.

what else can you paint? is it just animals or can you do people too?

The leopard is amazing! and id like the wolf.

Ill happily give you 30-40 for charity like. You got any others?

Joe.

If this is allowed I would gladly take the wolf one off your hands (or a similiar one)

Also 30-40 would be fine with me and I'd pay postage one top :)

Cheers, the minimalist style is one I've been working with for a while.

Most of what I do is actually pretty immature, cartoon stuff, sci-fi, fantasy etc - used to do a fair few pencil portraits - but that was some time ago.

Good to know, as I'd like it to be worth the effort to do.

I used to do portraits a while ago, but moved onto animals - really 90% of my work is digital stuff, not traditional.

This kinda stuff.

Thanks for the feedback.

I've got a few dotted about at home, I'll need to find the pics out - I'll have to see about opening up an official sponsor account thing (so it's all clear where the moneys going before doing anything on-line) as I'd rather none of the money go to me.

Thanks, I'll have a look at the sponsor account stuff to make one of those, but I was mostly thinking of painting some better ones (as those are a little rushed imho) - improved versions with some care taken on them.

see those last 2 I could say £50-£80 would be achievable quite easily.

if I had spare cash I would deffo consider getting something similar to that little one.
