Was playing BF3 and knew something wasn't right. FPS is usually well over 60 maxed out, but tonight I could barely scrape past 20. Rebooted PC, no luck, reinstalled drivers, no luck, tried Crysis 2, same problem :(

In BF3 single player, the world loaded with no textures, just the sky with everything else plain black. Sound like a dead card? :(

Trouble is I've got no way of testing really. No spare parts I can swap so I could be sending it back for no reason. Could be my PSU not supplying enough juice, or my motherboard on its way out or anything :(

This doesn't look normal to me, just sitting on the desktop?

I would say it isn't the PSU and something else. Things to try:

Reinstall drivers (clean install)
Run Memtest86+
Do a non destructive windows install (search google).
Failing all that, it would point at the GPU failing.

My thoughts anyways :)

No, that's not normal, assuming you haven't got anything running in the background. Mine looks like this:

Yeah that's what I thought :( It's like it's stuck in 3D performance, without the performance!

I'll try the non destructive OS installation and report back :)

Just to add that GPUZ reports the same temps/speeds etc evga precisionX, even when precisionX is removed. Really hoping it's a software issue but I doubt it :(

I was having problems with battlefield last few days and it turned out to be my sata cable coming loose from sdd.

So you might wanna try that :)

My cards were stuck at the minimum gk104 boost clock in 2d mode until i reinstalled the drivers the other day.

I also have an ongoing issue since I got the 680s, wherein the screens will go black, windows aero is disabled and the cards run at full lightning clocks until i restart the pc.

Touch wood, it seems to be working, although I haven't tested in game yet. Non destructive windows install, removed GPU drivers again (literally about the 5th or 6th time) but also used driver cleaner pro (stupidly forgot about this program until just now) and the reinstalled. Card is no longer stuck at boost clock in 2D according to GPUZ.

Nope no joy, as soon as I load up a 3D game, it boosts, then stays there, but still only getting 40 FPS, then down to 20 in BF3 campaign. Back to desktop and it's sat on the boost clock
