I seem to be having a rather strange problem at the moment with myself & static electricity, i will point out that I have not changed anything clothing or activity wise that could be causing this but it's really getting on my wires now!

Basically about 3 weeks ago I started getting zapped all the time by random objects, i first noticed that my car likes to zap me all the time. But currently everything is causing me electric shocks at the rate of up to about twice an hour.

So far today as far as I can remember i've been zapped by my car a good three times, by my locker at work, the side of my PC case, the dog (right on the nose, enough to make us both flinch lol), the dishwasher, the shelf in sainsburys, the radiator twice and to top it off I just zapped my girlfriend on the lips when I went to give her a kiss.

It's getting rather annoying, anyone else had this problem?

For a while last year. Couldn't even close a car door or pick an item off a shop shelf without getting bolted. Just went away though, the damnedest thing

"Electrocution is death caused by electric shock"

You're getting electric shocks, but I've heard it's related to cold dry air and it's insulting properties compared to damp air.

Prob the shoes your wearing.
I was in the supermarket with my gym shoes on and every time I touched a shelf, "crack!"
Bloody annoying.
Though saying that, I did get entertainment out of it. A lady was about 1 meter away from me, I touched the shelf at the same time as her and she got the shock that I gave the shelf. Boom!
I blame the shoes...

Does seem to be related to footwear - I started getting it out of the blue shortly after changing my work footwear but not immediatly after  I conincidentally changed to some new boots and replaced all my old socks with new different ones and it went away.
