For those of you who watch Time Team Mick Aston has pass away at the age of 66

Time Team archaeologist Prof Mick Aston has died at the age of 66.
The much-respected academic was a presenter on the Channel 4 programme as well as one of the brains behind its concept.
The programme's official Facebook page said: "It is with a very heavy heart that we've been informed that our dear colleague Mick Aston has passed away.
"Our thoughts are with his family."
Co-presenter Francis Pryor said on Twitter tonight that another Time Team member had confirmed the death.
He tweeted: "Have just spoken to Phil Harding. Sadly he confirmed that Mick Aston died last night. RIP dear friend."

Can't believe myself RIP

Yes, Sad News indeed, we knew him through our friendship with Phil Harding. Our thoughts go out to his family.

Really is sad news, fantastically knowledgeable man.

And you know Phil Harding? He's brilliant. Met him in...I think it was bristol. Waiting to watch a game of rugby. Offered to buy him a drink for my love of time team and he sat talking rugby with me and my dad for ages before the game.

Phil is local to me, we have the occasional drink together and we have known each other for some time. He is a down to earth and really nice chap. He plays a mean guitar as well.
