If you did not pre-order Bugbear new derby/racing game yet ( over 3400 pre-orders ), here your second chance to support Bugbear and get the sneak peek demo release in December.

Here a repost of post I did at Flatout Joint:

August 30, 2013 - Why not do a Kickstarter campaign instead?
We wanted to do a Kickstarter! But it turned out tricky for non-US-citizens, and the Finnish law prohibits raising money for commercial purposes. We still wanted to show everything we’ve got right now, so we chose to set up our own pre-order site immediately!

If you’re thinking of holding off purchasing until the possible, speculative Kickstarter – please don’t! We’re sure we’ll make it worth to you to jump onboard immediately.

It look like Bugbear figure out a way around Finland law.

I'm a little confused regarding the shipping costs for the boxed versions.

The Kickstarter page says that an additional 15 USD are required for shipment outside the US. Which is a bit strange, considering Bugbear is located in Finland. Doesn't make sense to me that I have to pay an additional 15 USD for shipment inside of Europe, while Americans pay less even though shipping costs are higher.

Can someone please shed some light on this?

I'm only guessing, but imagine that altho a finnish studio, they have set up a US based structure that allows them to then go for kickstarter funding.

Bit like amazon do (alledgedly) to avoid paying taxes ;)

Hmm, is that how Bugbear got around Finland law?? You might be on to something Corn.

If you have pre-order already, no need to worry, you still will get what was promise on pre-order page and maybe an extra reward or 2 from Kickstarted page if Bugbear reaches the $350,000 goal.

I do worry that Kickstarter could get off to slow start since a lot of hardcore Flatout fans already pre-order the NCG through Bugbear site. There was over 3400 pre-orders before Kickstarter page went live. And so far Kickstarter page does not count those 3400 pre-orders (about $100,000? collected already). I went ahead and made a $1 pledge so I could post on Kickstarter page. I already got my Team Bugbear level pre-order for $70 in.

Be sure to checkout Kickstarter page. There new details on the game, pics and and some new video footage we have not seen before.

Next Car Game: A Motorsport With Attitude!

I'm going ahead and post some pics, there some track and derby pit pics. :)

But that thread was when Next Car Game was getting Greenlighted at Steam. ( and was successful )

This is a whole new charter for Bugbear new derby/racing game. If Kickstarter is successful, we get our hands on the sneak peek demo next month!! :D

If we don't reach Kickstarter goal, no sneak peek. No extra money for the development of the extras Bugbear would like to put into the game before release. NCG will not be as robust as it could have been at release come May 2014.

Agreed. More awareness and support the better :D

Surprised this is not getting much traction. People to busy playing a war simulator like BF4 where they are killing people instead I guess. Lol.

Realy does look like the first flatout.

Remember being happy at the time they first showed the original, looked very much them with the finish outback tracks.

Liked the banger racing look, dirt tracks, and the 70's style cars...

Looks like they're going back to their roots. Need to mull over backing this, big fan of the original flatout.

Bugbear hit the $50,000 pledges today at Kickstarter page. Only $300,000 more to go. If you want Bugbear to make "Next Car Game" a more robust game with more features and you are planing on buying the game, please go support Bugbear on Kickstarter page.

You can pickup NCG cheap for $20 or go for the T-shirt like me. :)

The sneak peek demo going be release next month after Kickstarter is over Dec 1. :)

Just looks like flatout UC to me. Which was basically the same as flatout 2.
Dont get me wrong I did enjoy flatout 2. Bus racing with a group of friends on comms is one of the best nights gaming ive ever had.

Id rather wait and see how it turns out before throwing money at it.

Prepare to be SHOCKed By what Bugear did Thursday!!

Here a repost of Bugbear Kickstarter update:

Bugbear goes "retro flat-out"

Hey, everyone! Since we’re currently running a Kickstarter campaign for our Next Car Game, we thought it would be a great time to share something very special with you.

You can now download a prototype that we created over 10 years ago that has never been shown publicly. The prototype is a little rough around the edges, but it served as an initial actualization of our vision for a reckless racing game, and despite the humble beginnings, it later grew into a game franchise loved by millions of fans.

The foundation for our proprietary physics engine was laid down in the prototype, and even today, the physics engine we use is based on the very same core. Actually, even the code wizard who developed it over ten years ago is working on our amazing Next Car Game!

Now we want to bring our original vision back to life on PC and next-gen consoles and make a racing game offering unparalleled racing simulation, spectacular crashes and in-depth car upgrading. You have never seen anything like it, but we can only do it with your support!

To make things clear, this is NOT the sneak peek technology demo of the Next Car Game. It will be released right after the Kickstarter campaign has ended so that you can get a taste of things to come and help us develop the best demolition racing game ever!

PLEASE SUPPORT US AND MAKE IT POSSIBLE!

If try to install demo under WinXP or Vista, you may run into some trouble. I had no trouble running demo under Win7. Here link to Bugbear thread where I posted how I got Retro demo to install under WinXP.

Bugbear Retro Demo 2002 - installing and running on WinXP

@Bobmunkhouse - Look like this forum does not support embedded video code.

Here it is, Bugbear has release video of some ingame racing on a dirt track. :)

Note: This is pre-alpha build of Next Car Game.

Team Bugbear -
This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for: we’re finally ready to show you some proper racing action on a dirt track! Here we are testing with a powerful rear-wheel drive car how our handling works on gravel, and we’re glad to let you know that it feels SUPERB!

Thanks to our great physics, you really get the full white-knuckle racing experience with Next Car Game, if that’s what you prefer. On the other hand, if you’re a budding race car driver, you can still enjoy the game (and remain competitive!) by enabling a selection of driving aids.

Please note that the game is still very much work-in-progress, and what you see is not representative of the final quality. For example the track has not been properly decorated yet, and there’s a lot of additional polish that’s going to be done on it. Also, the player car damage has been disabled for the demonstration purposes.

Check out the video on our Kickstarter page and let us know what you think!

As you know, we still have a plenty of distance to cover if we’re going to succeed with our Kickstarter campaign, but you can help us meet our goal. Now it’s time for the racing game fans to unite and show us that you want a game like Next Car Game! Our team is having great fun playing the game, and we feel that no other game can match the amazing racing experience offered by Next Car Game. We can’t wait to share it with you!

PLEASE SUPPORT US AND SPREAD THE WORD!

As a bonus, here’s a few new screenshots from the same track:

The Kickstarter campaign slowed down this last week, with only about 2 weeks left, Flatout fans need to get the word out and support Bugbear so they can give us the extra features they would like to add to NCG game. After watching video and you know you going want to buy Bugbear new derby/racing, go pledge $20 and pickup NCG cheap. Pledge $30 and you get to test out alpha/Early Access version later on.
