Can a dodgy SSD cause this?

I bought a 250Gb Samsung Evo from the MM here a couple of months ago and installed it into the PC in my sig...

I've had an odd stutter that has happened ever since and have since tried all sorts, Overclocks/ Bios updates/ Drivers etc etc

I created a thread (2500k load line calibration) as I was unsure as to whether this was the issue, some very helpful people gave many good suggestions but none really worked, then I jumped into the 'Official 7950' thread and LTMatt hooked me up with a couple of his custom BIOS's, It seemed to get better but It's STILL doing it :(

I've just slapped in the old HDD and booted from that into windows and ran a few benchmarks and stress tests etc and it wont stutter which leads me to believe the SSD may be buggered or corrupt.

If you could take a minute to watch the following videos that would be appreciated :)

Thank you!

Samsung Magician is showing drive health as 'Good'
I've never defragged the drive either!

I've also checked that the Sata cable isn't kinked thus blocking the data transfer :p

And also I should add that the SSD has windows 7 64bit/most programs and a couple of games on with a 1Tb HDD just used as storage (despite it still having windows 8 on it).

What are the results from HD Tune? From those videos, I would epect to see possibly sudden and large dips, indicating something is amiss.

Can you try the SSD drive in another PC?

Same was happening with myself after I installed a second ssd.

I installed intel drivers and an intel programme to monitor it, solved everything.

On iPad at the moment, but when on PC I'll get info for you.

Took me ages to find the fix, eventually found the fix on some obscure forum..

No mate. It wasnt. A OCZ and also an ADATA SSD..

Intel rapid storage is the small prog I installed, I am pretty sure it also installed some drivers..

I'll keep looking..

Nothing else spikes as such. only the frame rate as it drops to nothing momentarily.

Frozen. It sounds daft but I've just downloaded the x64 version (top one) but what do I do with it? I already have Intel's RST software, surely that would be keeping firmware upto date?

I'm wondering whether your ssd is aligned properly - download assd benchmark - it will show you in the top left had side whether the ssd is align properly - if not it will just say bad
