Do you buy gaming memorabilia?
Why do you buy it, and what do you own?

I don't think there is anything quite as 'geeky' as this. But I like to spend my money on it regardless.

I just bought the Fallout 3, Vault Boy bobblehead.
Want more!

I do have a small game collection which I want to add to with memorabilia when I am financially secure enough to do so! So until then I only tend to buy it for games I really really like.

Not interested in memorabilia at all. I buy the cheapest version of a game going, if the box version is cheaper I buy that add it to steam and chuck the box.

I don't I get my son lootcrate which is often gaming related items

as an adult do I really want gaming related items around the house?

Not really but I do get why people buy this stuff. I get sometimes movie memorabilia (I have a set of The Hobbit figurines, Batman's head etc) and I enjoy having these stuff. Having said that, I still try to limit how much money I spend on this stuff and - more importantly - where I put this stuff and whom I tell about it. Trust me, the last thing you want to do is sit with a girl and tell her you have a Batman's broken mask on your shelf.

Depends, if shes into it too *wink wink* :D

I like art books. The Bioshock Infinite and Destiny ones are great. Got the homeworld model coming in the collector's edition...mainly to spruce up my desk at work as mine is very bare to compared to some people's hundred strong game figurine collections (although mostly work freebies).

Why does being an adult mean you cannot do this?

I am an adult and have comic book posters up in my gaming room, Collect certain graphic novels, Get a nerd block each month, Play board\console\pc games + go to board game club and lans, collect miniatures.

Is there some rule that states anything to do with my interests/hobbies must not be on show once you reach a certain age?

Genuine question not a dig or anything I am just curious as to why you think that you cannot have these things around when you are an adult. Mine are of course in my computer room/office and in certain places around the house as on the whole my gf decorates but even she has random items all over the house from her travels and hobbies because its well...her stuff and what she likes.

Yes, i have lots of game collectibles, waiting on my Fallout 3 collectors edition to arrive (lunchbox and vault boy), I have the Skyrim and ESO collector statues, really want the Morrowind Ordinator statue but they're beyond rare now.

I have Marcus bobblehead from Borderlands, all the Gears of War collectors inc Marcus Fenix statue. Lots more but can't remember aha..

Only recently had the money to get old ones I missed though.

I like to get the odd things that come with some boxed edtition games nowadays like maps and stuff.

I will be getting the physical copy of witcher 3 for this reason. But special/collectors editions cost too much.
