Do you buy gaming memorabilia?

Can't say I've ever been bothered by it, I think that some of it is interesting but I wouldn't personally spend my money on something that is little more than clutter.

I managed to snag the Fallout 3 Collectors from CeX @ £20, was delivered yesterday.
Was expecting it to be in awful condition, it's pretty much mint!

Been after it for about 5 years! :p
The bay had run dry of them recently and they became hard to source so I'm happy.

I'm still after an elusive Bioshock 2 wine bottle which were put on beaches as a promotional item for the game.

Haven't seen one for ages :(

When I had a console yes I did, but then they started taking the mick calling items limited run/exclusive when they would appear at retailers at a discounted price a year after release. Additionally, items were not available for the UK market such as the Metro LL and 2033 collectors editions. Having to go through Polish or Russians stores to obtain them wasn't something I wanted to do.

I have a feeling my friend had one of them for his collection (he had loads and the money to fund it!). Remember him mentioning buying one on the bay years back, have lost touch with him since as he moved though. Would sit nicely next to a big daddy!

I almost had the GTA IV 100% Key, but missed the deadline date.
See them crop up at the likes of £200+.

My list of wants outweigh my income. :p

ah dammit! :p

Yeh I don't really buy them anymore, more due to lack of space than money. I keep an eye out for ones that take my fancy but at the start I was snapping quite a few up.

I did look at this, ever so slightly expensive and no-where to fly it :p :

I have a BF2142 logitech gaming mouse that is now retired but the artwork is still pristine despite years of use.
I also have the special edition Forza 3 box ste with key ring and usb stick.

When I was younger I used to buy limited or collectors editions of my favourite franchises, like Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy etc.

Now I get the cheapest version possible and very rarely buy a newly released game (I wait for the price to come down.) From my experience the novelty from those collectors edition games wears off within the first hour of opening them, then they take up space I don't have and spend the rest of their life hidden in a box somewhere I forget about them. Then, years later, I find them when clearing out the inner depths beneath my bed or in the loft and look upon them once more, shaking my head at my naivety and then proceed to throw them in the bin regretting the waste of money.

So no, I don't :p

I don't bother, I have enough crap in my house - the one exception was when the collectors edition of some Call of Duty game came with nightvision goggles. They hung around for yonks in HMV (unable to sell them for the ungodly original asking price). Eventually picked it up for £30. The game is still shrink-wrapped but the night-vision goggles have had some welly :p

I have lots and lots of gaming collector's editions and merchandise, too much! I'm actually looking into selling off a few of them which I don't want any more or have duplicates of.

I collect anything and everything across all platforms. If I see something I like the look of, I will buy it.

I have a full-size Pulse Rifle that loads magazines, has a working counter, racking bolt, sliding stock and cycles M40 grenades through the launcher... That's more of a film prop replica than an AVP/A:CM thing though, especially as I put a lotof it together myself!

I do have things like clothing - My Mass Effect hoody has actually been worn to pieces, but it was great as a mid-layer on the bike!
I will go for anything cool that has a feature usable in normal life, but don't really do the whole figurine/display item thing.
I'm the same with movie 'memorabilia' - I don't buy something just because it has the movie name on it, but I will go for certain prop and costume replicas, especially if they fit into my daily life...

For example - My 'coffee mug' is an original 1942-dated WWII issue canteen cup that was used in Band Of Brothers... and it holds a full pint of coffee!!

I bought a half-life plush Headcrab hat for wearing to festivals. It’s great, it looks like the headcrab is eating your head.

Also can be used to terrify bold nieces and nephews!
