After reading through the premise of this game I was pretty certain this wasn't going to be my cup of tea, but after watching the 17 minute gameplay trailer I changed my mind.

Firewatch is a mystery set in the Wyoming wilderness, where your only emotional lifeline is the person on the other end of a handheld radio. In Firewatch you play as a man named Henry who has retreated from his messy life to work as a fire lookout in the Wyoming wilderness. Perched high atop a mountain, it’s your job to look for smoke and keep the wilderness safe.

An especially hot, dry summer has everyone on edge. Your supervisor, a woman named Delilah, is available to you at all times over a small, hand help radio - and is your only contact with the world you've left behind.

But when something strange draws you out of your lookout tower and into the world, you’ll explore a wild and unknown environment, facing questions and making interpersonal choices that can build or destroy the only meaningful relationship you have.
Looks relaxing, and interesting. Makes a change from the usual pump thousands of rounds into bad guys type affairs.

Pre-order is available.

£14.99 on steam with a 10% pre-order discount making it £13.49. It'd be rude not to get it at that price.

It looks awesome, unfortunately from watching even just the trailer I know the engine/first person view will give me motion sickness and migraines, so I won't be getting it :(.

Nothing huge from E3 by the sounds of it but they have revealed that this will debut on the PS4 and of course still working on the PC version. Short trailer too, however, not an awful lot to shown in there that we haven't seen in the longer video but certainly seems to pack a little story.

They have been very quiet, just an E3 trailer few minutes long so be interesting what they start showing us in the coming months!

No pre-orders so close to the date, wonder if we're due a delay.

Only website I can see preorders from is G2A, but obviously that's nothing to go by.

Abit surprised by the amount of hype around this game despite the lack of ingame footage.

I am terrible excited though,

Does look very interesting I must say...and the question that my mind immediately asks (and probably not for the last time this year :) ) is , wonder what it would be like on the Rift :)
