Yes Z170 shall be very affordable indeed, that is the whole idea, Skylake will be a massive selling platform come Q4 this year.

what kind of difference is CAS 15 over say CAS 12 with higher end ddr4 kits?

Wait until the cpu's turn up. With the broadwell i5 selling at over £215 I reckon the Skylake i5 will be £220+.

I think the high price of Broadwell might have something to do with it's limited supply and production hopefully with Skylake we will see better pricing on the mainstream ships. Hopefully.....

Often when I check I noted competitors are cheaper to make a difference, obviously won't discus any of that here

However, prices here are fairer down the price-range and that nice bundle offer doesn't leave you broke. You've all had long enough to save up

Interesting to see what deals you will offer with Kingston, friends praise them very highly and not one had a faulty stick unlike Avexir, not sure what comes close with reliability in mind.

So far TeamGroup has the best looking DDR4, but hey I helped with the design of it, but top secret for now, we shall launch that no doubt early August.

I just bought a kit of Kingston 3000mhz DDR4 quad channel, based on two things.

1. My knowledge of their very low RMA rate and suitability to ALL hardware
2. 8 Pack's recommendation for the predator kits.

This was for my X99 system though

Good choice, tbh I never really opt for anything but Kingston - they have great products & rock solid reliability.

Kingston HyperX Predator are King of DDR4 there binning process currently the best in the Business.

They have massive investment in the best IC's and remain very stable and reliable which has always been there strength.

I don't know about that. The 4690k has been a ridiculous £200 for some time now and you just know that Intel is going to charge even more for it's latest release. I will be pleasantly surprised if it is cheaper than Broadwell but I just can't see it happening.

Memory good price but board cpu might be over priced lets wait and see.

Totally agree, great performance and reliability at a better price than the competitors with good timings.
Only weakpoint is me in getting the most from RAM timings with way too many options on my R4BE and not knowing what volts for your RAM is safe.
There should be various 8Pack timings instead of XMP - maybe that is the secret project hinted at by Gibbo or a 8 Pack self-build bundle with cherry picked CPU to ensure you get a great IMC (to avoid down clocking great RAM)

You know, OcUK would sell a bit more HyperX if the description was clearer with the full product name in the series
Not one mention other than the photos shows these are in fact HyperX modules. Irony is that you search for HyperX and you get everything else Kingston manufacturers including all the old DDR3 but not the newer DDR4, please fix
