55"

Hello, I’m looking at a new tv, budget up to about 3k (although less is best!). Its going to be put on an AV cabinet as opposed to wall mounted. Any ideas? Due to space, a 55in will be the max I would look at. So far im looking at the Sony AF8 or Panasonic TX-55FZ802B. Any views on these...

Hi all, in the process of completing on a new house (!), so I think it's only fair I furnish it with a new TV and sound system. :D Complete n00b to TV and home stereo setups - what's the go to these days? In terms of TVs, I'd like something around 55", mainly for watching films/documentaries...
