Is there any problem with wiring up cat6 modules onto cat6A cable?
During a house refurb I made the classic mistake of installing network cable without checking with the experts. For some reason I got cat6A installed and the ends are in standard 'plug socket' back boxes...
I am creating my home network and installing Cat6a cable throughout my house. I want to use brushed steel outlet sockets but cannot find any that say they are Cat6a in grey.
My question is….. if I connect a cat6a cable to an outlet that says it’s cat5e, will it degrade the speed of the data...

So can this be done? My instincts say no because USB 3.0 has 9 pins and Cat 5e has just 8 wires. But is it possible to make your own cable that runs USB 3 over two Network cables? So wire four pins into one connector and five into another?
I realise that you can buy devices that let you run USB...
