I just upgraded to a 3700x + Aorus pro x570, I cant fit my 1080ti in the PCIe4 16x slot (fitted with an arctic accelero) as the hsf is colliding with a Noctua d14 hsf.
The next available port I can use is a pcie4 @ 8x.
Will I get away with performance being the same?

A number of cases like the Dan A4 depend upon riser cables to connect the motherboard to the GPU. Will these cables still give full bandwidth with PCIE v4? Will new cables be necessary? Or will cables not be possible?
