    pc keeps waking itself up

Hello, anyone got suggestions of why my PC keeps waking itself up from sleep. It seems to sporadically do it several times per day and night. Can windows or software within be doing this? I'll check the bios but i'm pretty sure i've already turned off all 'wake on' functions for network and mouse.

Sunrise / Sunset / Daylight Alarm Lamps?

I have seen these things gaining popularity over the years. At first I thought they would be gimmicky and near useless but more recently I thought to at least try one out. We're a few days into using this lower end one - Beurer WL50. It's actually quite impressive. I have ours set to start 30...

Dual Monitors - Programs/Windows Move To Single Screen on Wake

Hi all, I struggled to find a thread dedicated to solving this but I did read in another thread I'm not the only one who experiences this issue. I am running Windows 10 on my nearly-new PC (see sig). Quite simply, I use two screens, both MSI G273QF. When I lock the computer and leave it for...

    Shutdown, Sleep or On

So I have a gaming PC that I game on for around 2 hours a day, then sometimes I web brows etc... I normally just shut it down between uses but I end up turning it on and off around 5 times throughout the day. What are your opinions on this?

Do you generally have a lie-in at the weekend? (Poll?)

I'm a little curious after I had a falling out with a neighbour on Saturday morning when he started replacing the fence in his back garden and started hammering at 7:30 am, which in my opinion is not on at all. He's a manual labourer by trade and I get the impression he gets up the same time...

    Brain in gear, but tired?

I was a bit hungover this morning after going for a meal with some staff from work. But not too bad as i'd had some water before bed. But only got about 3 hours of sleep. What i've realised over time is that i feel more productive and on the ball with things in my job aswell as during free...

The working week - which is best?

I've taken on a job that is very project based and predominantly my work. There's some interaction and dependency on others, but it's mostly asynchronous. Barring the occasional update meeting, I have no specific schedule requirements. Basically, I'll need to provide a significant number of...

Windows 10 Fall update and RAMDISK weirdness

Prior to the Fall update, the data on the RAMDISK would always be cleared as instructed in the Dataram Ramdisk program options. Now, Windows randomly decides it should keep that data after a shutdown or restart (on average 1 out of every 2, or 1 out of every 4 reboots), and writes that amount of...

    Monitor not waking from sleep

Hi everyone. My problem is that whenever I use the sleep function on my Windows 7 PC, the PC wakes up fine, but the monitor does not. I have to unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in. Then it works. Also, the folders etc are all resized afterwards, which is why I am thinking that its a GPU...
