I have an MSI Gaming edge Z390 motherboard and have updated to Windows 11.
I have connected multiple USB 3.0 / 3.1 drives to the 3.1 port on the motherboard, and windows is unable to write data to drives any faster than 20mbps. It starts of super fast, and drops off after a second or so...
Spec me a 10GbE switch, a 2.5GbE NiC + 2.5 GbE USB3.0 converter cable. I only need just over 200MB/s with a little wiggle room for burst transfer from cache. 2.5GbE (bits) translates to 312.5MB/s (bytes).
I bought a USB 3.0 hub with 3 usb sockets and one usb plug and a gigabit ethernet port...

I am doing a new build with a Cosmos C700P and ASUS ROG strix X-470-F Gaming.
My problem is that I have two internal USB 3.1 Gen 1 cables and only One USB 3.1 Gen 1 header.
The manual states "1 X USB 3.1 Gen 1 Connector supports additional 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports"
Do I need a splitter...
