So its real. Looks like a mock up in their press photos.
Must say it looks much better in the flesh. Especially as its not in that vile orange.
Wonder if they'll let you buy it with the petrol engine.
Oh it's real allright.
Those with a good knowledge of motor racing will know the name Eric Broadley ex of Lola and the main designer behind the Ford GT40, (I am sure everyone here knew the original Ford GT40 was totally British designed, engineered, and built, didn't they?).
Anyway, Eric did a Victor Kiam thing, when he found out about the start of this project, back at the motorshow in 1999, he liked it so much, he bought the company.
So he became the mastermind behind the development and design of the basics of the car. As with all his cars it was designed from the ground up to go round corners very quickly.
However after some funding problems in 2004, I believe Trident (based in Norfolk) and Eric Broadly went seperate ways.
Since then more funding has been found, a new chief designer (Phill Bevan) has been brought on board, and the car has gone bio-diesel.
The basic Broadly chassis is still there so hopefully it will still handle well.
I drove one of the early petrol prototypes, and it was brilliant, I have seen a new one but have not driven it as yet, that is a project for early next year at work.
