007 First Light

I went PS5 in the end and had a blast playing this last night was gone 1am when I realised I should probably go to bed. I never really got into the hitman games - although I’m sure I have at least one in my steam library - but will be tempted to give them a go after this.

Yeah I'm finding it quite moreish too.

There's a nice balance between the narrative, walkabout puzzle-like parts, stealth encounters, and combat encounters.

I wouldn't usually enjoy all aspects of a game like this, particularly the slower parts, but how it's all structured and presented is keeping me interested.

Story seems fairly by the books so far, but it's done well.

I gave it a good bash last night but didn't make it out of the tutorial. It's bloody long, but I'm eager to see what the real game has in store.

It has taken a lot of game mechanics/cues from other games and blended them together very well. I like it.

FIXES

Bond & Moneypenny Elevator Scene Crash
Fixed a crash which occurred during a cutscene featuring Bond & Moneypenny after the Opening Credits (Title Sequence), at the beginning of "In His Majesty's Secret Service".

Guards Skip Confrontational Dialogue
Fixed an issue in Chapter 06 “Uninvited”, where guards would immediately become hostile and skip confrontational dialogue after Bond leaves the CCTV room.

M’s Office Cutscene Crash
Fixed a crash which occurred after leaving M’s office in Chapter 02 “A Night Out”.

Greenway (and other NPCs) Pathing Issues
Fixed an issue where Bond standing in Greenway’s or other NPC’s way would lead to pathing issues making them disappear or go through walls.

Returning to London Crash
Fixed a crash which occurred during a cutscene after the completion of Chapter 05 “Beyond the Grave”.

I play on console but there's no thread for it over there. I buy physical where I can because it's cheaper and I can trade them. This sold out on release day in my local, very large, high st games chain which is very unusual. Have to drive across town on Saturday to go pick it up with click and collect.

15-20h is perfect for me in this kind of game. Think I'm about 10 hours in, playing on hardest difficulty which has been fairly tame but is ramping up a bit now - just left the Webb building and now at the resort place.

The Tacsim mode seems to offer some replayability, where you can revisit campaign encounters and I think play unique VR type missions? Haven't tried it yet.

edit: I'm actually at 12 hours according to Steam.
