02 activation...

Hi guys, well at 7 tonight I brought a simplicity sim (£15) with 200mins 200 texts + £7.50 web bolt on for my new iphone which is a UK one.

I have popped it in the iphone, however it says 'no service'....how long will it take to be hooked up to 02...I can't wait to test out edge and see how fast it is

= Really need the phone at the moment tbh.

You bought the sim at 7pm this evening? It should work straight out the packet. Have you tried it in another phone?

It is a pay monthly one.... just like contract.

(The man instore, did say it would take up to 24 hours, but tbh I didn't believe him, he was saying because it is weekend etc that it could be up until monday - but most phones are brought at the weekend, so I would expect the activation to be fast)
My 02 PAYG works fine in it, so it's not the phone

- Unlocked it fine.

Limited service in the other phone aswell..so it is the sim definately.

its right for them to 'activate' your sim after your purchase so yeah, just give it 24hrs like the dude said, should be done by then

phone might need a restart too.. aint too sure though.

Sometimes it can take a while.

Just encase you're being silly, by default iphones are locked to the sim they come with, and you have to activate that through itunes, if you haven't unlocked your phone it's never going to work (until you unlock it)
