02 M3

LOL I was about to reply that I didn't think the M3 was a great example but the rest of the thread turned out amazing. :D

Someone clearly needs to wind their neck in a bit or think/observe before posting. ;)

I feel sorry for Fido, I really do.

Which again is not negotiable.

Somebody please make it stop.

before I look at anything else thats far too expensive

oh and E46 SMG gearboxex are not prone to failure

Thats right. Just that if/when they do as does happen with earlier models it'll be prohibitively expensive to repair. And yes it is a regular manual fom the shots of course, to which tbh I clearly didn't pay enough attention to the gearstick. Sorry :)

As far as the 'negotiable' statement thingy goes, well, it is safe to say that probably wasn't a great choice of words.

Whatever. :D

I'm glad you were able to negotiate a friendly response to the original negotiations.

This post offers current market value, valuation increases are non-negotiable.

I admit I had consumed a couple of beers when I typed that. Thought about editing it too until it got quoted. It's all good fun!

Just to clarify a little bit. The independant specialist outfit is based where I live in Telford. I welcome anyone to call by anytime during opening hours and say hi. I'm not a sales idiot, we don't sell cars. We prepare race cars and service/rebuild and repair road cars. I've known the owner since 1991, consider him a very good friend and you will find him to be incredibly genuine, knowledgable and helpful guy. They have been operational since 1986 and the owner is on the verge of retiring. OCUK forum rules I believe don't allow for advertising and I respect that, so I didn't feel able to just name drop the business.

My own 'speciality' if you like is suspension, braking and race setup/prep with occasional trackside support thrown in. I raced in the BMW Car Club Challenge in 1996/1997 with an e21 323 and then an e28 M5. I do not work there full time, just as and when required to assist, but can tap into a wealth of knowledge if an M3 owner should need it here thats all really. No harm no foul I hope.

I do apologise for being a ***** with my words originally. Had intended to keep any dialogue with the OP free of distraction but sheesh that didn't really work did it. I have a healthy respect for the majority of members here and understand the wealth of experience that exists within.

I'd like to know how Al got on, and, the weather is beautiful out there so I'm going to go and sip some tea on my cloud now, thank you :p :)

On a side note, why would you buy a Silver M3? Really can't think of a more bland colour for a car!

Few years time I might consider an M3 for myself, looks of them are really growing on me!
