Right, I'm going absoultely nuts trying to find this.
I'm TRYING to replace the O2 sensor on my Toyota Soarer (My wallet suspects it may be running a TAD rich
) so I've ordered a universal sensor off of the internet.
Problem is it seems that many/most/all Toyotas/Japanese cars have a Flanged end on the sensor, whilst my universal sensor has the more common 22mm 'Nut' and thread arrangement. "No Problem" I thought, "all I need is a simple adaptor and there are plenty of them available on the internet, lets try some Motorfactors (I need it ideally sorting for tomorrow)".
Every single place I've visited has looked at me like I'm some sort of mad man asking for a night of passionate relations with their wife. Seriously, it it has been flat out impossible to find what I would have thought would be a fairly common part.
I've even tried asking for another sensor, but parts people being, well, parts people, they flat out refuse to order anything if the book doesn't agree, and according to their book my car doesn't exist
Am I explaining it right? I've been going around asking for a "O2 Sensor Flange adaptor" - I thought that would be fairly self explanatory?
Any ideas where I can pick something like this up tomorrow? Any recommendations for a Motor Factors in South London who aren't completely and utterly useless (I'm looking at you Stockwell Motor Accessories, 226-236 Clapham Road, London)?
