just recieved my 02 box this morning and awaiting activation tomorrow.
Do i have to use the set up cd or can i use my netgear dg834pn router instead?
 
I'm getting activated tomorrow, would it not tell me on the be site if I'd been activated early?
 
Is that on the o2box or the other router you're trying? I'd try the o2box first if you haven't already done that.

I'd also just leave it connected all day and check every so often - it can be done at literally anytime during the day/night.

Also there isn't anything attached to the back of the faceplate on my master socket, just the thing for the phone, could that cause a problem?

What do you mean by that exactly? It should just be phone line from outside > master socket > adsl filter > router.

Sorry, just not sure what you mean.
 
Like on the adslnation filtered faceplate installation it mentions disconnecting and reconnecting the extensions behind the faceplate on to the new faceplate I don't have any in the first place.

I just got my o2 activated recently and got 20mbit..best I've ever had without tweaking. I'm liking the new house I've moved into more and more :p
 
Well I'm with Be and that's the one they sent as well, going to swap for my new Netgear when it gets connected.
