Just got this and am trying to figure out what caused it :(.

I've had a look around the net and it seems it may be caused by failing RAM, can I check this with memtest?

It happened when I opened blender, so is it possible that it's a bug?

I've never gotten this message before so all help is appreciated. TIA

p.s. nothings overclocked ATM.

Sorry I wasn't doing anything I wouldn't normally do, and I've just done the same and it's working fine

Oh and forgot to put in the OP when I turned the computer back on it asked me to insert the correct boot disk, restarted it and it booted normally but took about twice as long. Steam thought I was using a new computer afterwards .

You can check the ram with memtest yeah, let it go overniight for several passes. Could also upload the minidump file
C:\Windows\Minidump
