1.1.4 firmware out now

165mb, so its a big one. For an update of that size it has got to be something of importance, as IMO theres no way that you can use 165mb just for 'bug fixes'

eek!, shame I can't update yet :(

edit: bah can't get working, just spent age restoring back now...

I think the 165MB is the entire iPhone software & firmware "package".

When applying it, i.e running the restore then you wipe the iPhone and apply the whole package, but in order to update to it you need to download the whole file.

iTunes then applies the updated lines of code as applicable.

...at least that's how I see it.

I'm going to have to wait til I get back, but hopefully by then you lot know the nitty gritty of what it does :)

I can confirm that the ZiPhone unlock works with 1.1.4

If you update, just run ZiPhone and unlock as per 1.1.3 :)

Can someone let me know (when they find out) if it does have any sort of support for 3rd party apps? I bought a 16gig touch off the bay the other day and have spent a few hours researchin what you need to do to jailbreak it.

But with the release of 1.1.4 and steve jobs' promise of support for 3rd party apps I'm not so sure I should go through the trouble of jailbreakin it anymore
